Möessel used photography to inventory his work, from his early career in Germany till his final works in Chicago. The collection includes both finished and preliminary drawings from Möessel’s War/Commentary work. Moessel years in Nazi occupied Germany helped form a critical anti-war perspective on top of his natural opinionated point-of-view – these expressions are vidadly displayed on his canvases.
